Jez Cajiao was born in 1980 in Hartlepool, UK. He left school early to work in the family catering business at 11, later managing his own restaurant. After discovering he didn’t enjoy working with people, he switched to welding but had to quit due to developing welder’s lung. At 37, he retrained in computers.
